Please measure your board at the point where it will be supported, usually more toward the ends where it is more narrow. A: As you can see from the dimensioned drawing below, the "hook" to hold your surfboard is 2 1/2" wide. This is the first thing to consider but a very important factor to consider is that you have two arms here to support your surfboard, therefore you need to measure the thickness of your board where the rack will actually hold the board which is at the ends where it is usually a bit thinner. This design will hold a large majority surfboards avaliable on the market. ?Q: My board is 23" wide, I don't think it will fit in the rack but I really want this rack for my place? A: You might just be in luck. When most people initially measure their surfboards they measure the center of the board where it is widest. The key is to measure your board where the rack will hold it. Most of the time this means toward the ends where surfboard usually taper in to a smaller width. We have found that this rack holds almost all surfboard 24" wide and less.
